Professional Background
Auralila Wilson, M.A., LPC – A is a Dallas Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. Supervised by Dr. Jada Jackson, LPC-S Auralila Wilson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Army Veteran with more than 15 years of experience serving individuals and families through leadership, trauma-informed care, spiritual support, and client advocacy. Her passion for helping others is rooted in both her professional expertise and her personal commitment to creating safe, compassionate spaces where healing and growth can occur.
Auralila specializes in working with individuals navigating trauma, life transitions, grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, and emotional stress. She utilizes evidence-based approaches, including Transformational Schema Therapy, trauma-informed practices, Polyvagal techniques, and faith-integrated counseling when desired by clients. Her therapeutic approach is holistic, recognizing the connection between emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual wellbeing. As a bilingual counselor, Auralila provides services in both English and Spanish and is deeply committed to culturally responsive care that honors each client's unique experiences and identity. She believes that every person possesses the capacity for healing and resilience when equipped with the right support and tools.
Before entering the counseling profession, Auralila proudly served in the United States Army, where she developed extensive experience in leadership, crisis management, resilience training, and supporting individuals through high-stress situations. Her military background, combined with her counseling training, allows her to approach each client relationship with empathy, structure, and a deep understanding of human resilience. Auralila earned her Master of Arts in Counseling with Honors from Dallas Theological Seminary and also holds a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. She has received advanced training in Trauma-Informed Care, Transformational Schema Therapy, Play Therapy, and PREPARE/ENRICH.
